UPDATE: PWInsider reports that TNA’s move from their front offices may not be an eviction. While the site reports that “it’s quite possible there is some truth to that,” sources within the company say that they knew they would be moving by May 1st for a while and that it is due to “leases expiring.”
It is possible that the company was told they would not be getting a new lease, but it appears that this is not a rushed situation for the company and that the move has been in the works for a matter of months. Company management is meeting with potential investors and Dixie Carter said in a staff meeting last week that some major things were coming soon.
ORIGINAL: It was reported yesterday that in May, TNA will move their headquarters from their longtime offices at Cummins Station to their warehouse where they run ShopTNA out of. According to aouexwa, TNA’s Production office will be moving to NorthStar Productions in Nashville, which is reportedly the biggest HD Production facility in the city. It will not be in the same building as the new headquarters. Also, the “warehouse” where the headquarters will be run from is not your typical “run down, old, filthy” warehouse. It’s actually a very nice and newer facility with lots of extra office space according to someone who works there.
Meanwhile, on this morning’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that the promotion was being evicted from the Cummins Station location. Dave Meltzer reports that they are in bad financial shape and that they will need to make a deal with an investor. The company had previously denied that they needed money, but it is now reported that they need an injection of capital to pay the rent for the TV tapings and also to pay for plane tickets for talent. Panda Energy, the billion dollar company run by Dixie Carter’s parents, has cut back on the amount of money they are investing in TNA Wrestling big time.
According to reports, there is an investor ready to buy controlling interest in the company, if the price is right.
