On his reaction when he first heard “You look stupid” chants: “It’s like anything else in the WWE, when something comes along out of the blue you’re kind of like ‘what?’ and then you’re like ‘ahh’ and then it sinks in. You have to embrace it because it’s not going to go away. I played up to it and I had some fun with it, plus I mean I don’t think I look that stupid.”
On how he thought fans would receive his new look: “I knew it was going to be shock. I came back from my shoulder injury and I feel like there’s so much content out there now that you continuously try to change your image. I talked to Jericho about that because he’s changed his look. But you have to keep it fresh, you have to change your look. That’s why the beard has changed now. You’re constantly changing bits and pieces so it always feels fresh.”
