Despite reports to the contrary, JTG is not likely to return to WWE anytime soon. It was reported over the weekend that WWE was calling up several former veterans who worked for the company in order to fill up the roster for the brand split, with JTG being among the names WWE was interested in bringing back along with Carlito, John Morrison, Shad Gaspard, Shelton Benjamin, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio and Goldberg.
According to Fox Sports and Sports Illustrated contributor Chris Featherstone, JTG has denied the reports. The former Cryme Tyme member was asked if the rumors were true and replied with, “Nobody called me lol.”
It is worth noting that the initial report had specifically singled out only Angle, Hardy, Mysterio and Goldberg as those who had been contacted, with the rest being those the company were “interested in.” So it is possible that there is interest there, but no one has yet reached out.
