Life & Style Mag reports that the ongoing feud between Fast 8 stars The Rock and Vin Diesel may actually be part of a publicity stunt. The magazine claims to have an “insider” that told them the following.
“They are playing a huge prank, and it’s all for publicity.”
“The Rock convinced Vin to amp up the drama between them so they could turn it into a WWE match to help promote the April 2017 release of Fast 8.”
April 2017 would seemingly coincide with WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, FL on April 2nd, 2017. Fast 8 is due out April 14th, 2017.
The Rock posted the following to Instagram back on August 8th, calling some of his co-stars in Fast 8 “candy asses” and Diesel shortly after confirmed that he was one of the co-stars the Rock was referencing.
