— It appears that WWE may be considering bringing back the King of the Ring. The company applied for a trademark for the phrase on July 28th as a “show about professional wrestling…the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service.” There is a separate trademark application by the company on the same day for the phrase for “software for the creation of mobile internet applications and client interfaces.”
WWE did a King of the Ring tournament in 2015 that saw Bad News Barrett win; it was last used as a full-fledged event in 2002.
— WWE posted a new job listing on Tuesday for a digital retoucher, looking for someone “with 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably with a background in beauty retouching and image composition.” You can learn more at the link.
