PW Torch reports that Ricochet is opting out of his deal with Lucha Underground. Ricochet works as Prince Puma in the company and will be part of the already-taped season three. His deal with the company prevents him from working elsewhere on TV until he is no longer on Lucha Underground’s programming, or possibly even six months after depending on which report you believe.
Ricochet was previously rumored to be considering opting out of his deal at the beginning of the summer, with reports suggesting he could end up with WWE. It is always possible that he could work something out though, as Puma is masked and he wouldn’t be heading to WWE in that gimmick, so there wouldn’t be any issue with conflicting marketing. Ricochet is currently taking indy bookings and has EVOLVE dates set for September 11th, November 13th and December 11th.
