According to sources, WWE is still debating which match will be the actual main event of Hell in a Cell. There is a contingent within WWE that wants Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks to be the main event but some higher-ups in the company are opposed to the idea.
The belief in the company is that the match has to either be first or last and that there’s a disk of fans going home after the match if it takes place in the middle of the show, due to Sasha Banks being from Boston. It’s believed that if they put the match on first, people won’t leave because they would miss the entire rest of the show.
Mick Foley initially referred to Banks vs. Charlotte as the main event in a Facebook post last week but quickly clarified to say the decision was still up in the air. Vince McMahon then referred to the PPV as having three main events on Twitter this past weekend.
At this point, there is no final decision regarding which match will actually be last.
