WWE showed some love to Bret “The Hitman” Hart after he was named a 2016 Bob Edwards award recipient. The company sent out an announcement congratulating the Hall of Famer for winning the award, which recognizes “provocative individuals who are not afraid to speak their minds” and is part of the Bob Edwards Award Gala, which aims to raise funds to enhance services and programs offered by the Calgary Public Library Foundation in Canada.
The announcement noted that Hart was “a perfect candidate for the honor” and that he received the award on November 4th. The announcement closed with, “WWE congratulates Hart on this incredible distinction and accomplishment.”
