UPDATE 2: Politico reports that sources close to Donald Trump’s transition team have confirmed that Linda McMahon is one of the President-elect’s top choices to head his Small Business Administration.
The site notes that in addition to her meeting with Trump today, McMahon has spoken with several members of the transition team this week and that she is looking “increasingly likely” to head up the SBA. One source noted, “It’s very, very real. For the last several days, it has been discussed seriously internally.”
UPDATED: Linda McMahon spoke with reporters following her metting today with President-elect Donald Trump. McMahon, who was previously rumored to be considered tor Secretary of Commerce before Wilbur Ross was offered the job today, said that the meeting “went great” and when asked whether she had been offered a job in the administration said, “Stay tuned.”
McMahon added, “Anytime the president-elect of the United States asks you to come in for a conversation, you’re happy to do that. We talked about business and entrepreneurs and creating jobs, we had a really good conversation.”

ORIGINAL: It was previously reported that Linda McMahon was falling in consideration for a position in President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet. She was initially said to be considered for Secretary of Commerce but Trump is expected to announce investor Wilbur Ross for the job.
McMahon has donated $6 million in August and September to the Rebuilding America Now Super PAC which supports Trump. Her money made up about 1/3 of the $18 million in donations it received last quarter.
