WWE released this statement today:
Jack Swagger has not been granted a release from his WWE contract. When he is granted his release, Jack Swagger will remain under exclusive contract to WWE for 90 days and will be compensated accordingly during that period.
Jack Swagger revealed Wednesday that he has asked for his release from WWE because they wouldn’t pay him as much as he wanted during new contract negotiations, but obviously it seems like WWE hasn’t actually granted him the release yet.
Swagger was actually announced for a show in England on March 10 against Alberto El Patron for the WAW promotion, but it seems like that won’t be happening for a few reasons.
