Here are the three currently scheduled matches for the WWE Backlash PPV on May 21 in Rosemont, IL.
Officially Scheduled
WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. Jinder Mahal
SmackDown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (c) vs. Breezango
United States Championship
Kevin Owens (c) (or Chris Jericho) vs. AJ Styles
Likely
Based on current feuds, we can also likely expect these matches:
Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler
Possible
Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Naomi vs. Carmella, Natalya, Tamina
They could end up doing a 6-person tag match for the women’s division, based on the current sort-of stable of Natalya, Carmella and Tamina. It seems like WWE has decided to turn Charlotte Flair face to balance things out with three faces and three heels, which does not seem good to me since Charlotte was a great heel, imo, and will probably be forced to become just another incredibly boring generic WWE babyface with no personality.
Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan
They have been wrestling each other at house shows, so this match is another possibility to fill time, according to Dave Meltzer.
