Tajiri announced today on Twitter he has left WWE due to medical reasons related to his current knee injury.
Tajiri had been out of action since January when he suffered the knee injury during a set of tv tapings for NXT. At the time, Tajiri was feuding with Brian Kendrick which was quickly dropped and replaced with Akira Tozawa for Kendrick’s Cruiser division feud.
Tajiri stated the reason for his departure was due to WWE’s medical staff being uncomfortable in officially clearing him for an in-ring return with his age at 46 as the main reason. While being a bit upset, he did thank both Willian Regal and Triple H for the opportunity to come back to the WWE.
