Adam Cole is currently a free agent after his contract with Ring of Honor recently expired. While its been speculated for a while about the WWE being very interested in signing Cole, a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio show hinted other companies are also currently interested in Cole’s services.
Dave Meltzer stated while the WWE are still the strong favorite to sign Cole, New Japan Pro Wrestling is also currently interested in signing Cole to a possible deal. The company has used Cole several times for their shows as part of the partnership they have with ROH. NJPW currently has Cole scheduled to face Hiroshi Tanahashi at the upcoming NJPW-ROH War of the Worlds pay-per-view event on May 12.
Meltzer also stated a potential deal with the WWE likely won’t be signed soon which means Cole is currently available to accept bookings for indie events and ROH shows.
