WWE News and Notes: Network Additions, Sammartino Anniversary, More

Newest WWE Network Additions

WWE announced the newest batch of content for the WWE Network includes a new “Table for 3” episode which aired after RAW. Edge, Christian, and Kurt Angle were revealed to be the episode’s guests. WWE posted a preview clip as part of the hype for this episode.

Other new additions for the Network includes a new “WWE 24” special featuring Finn Balor and a new collection set featuring Batista. The Finn Balor special will be focusing on Balor’s road to recovery from his past shoulder injury and airs on May 15th after RAW ends. The new collection set covering Batista’s career is called “Batista Unleashed” and arrived on May 1st.

WWE Did You Know: 40th Anniversary of Bruno Sammartino’s Final Title Reign

Last Sunday was the 40th anniversary of the end of Bruno Sammartino’s WWWF title reign at the hands of Billy Graham. This reign was the smaller of Sammartino’s two WWWF title reigns in length at 1,237 days. Also notable from this match was Billy Graham starting his record reign as a heel champion in WWE history which lasted for 296 days.

Rumor: WWE Considering an Ambulance Match for Extreme Rules

The WWE is currently rumored to be considering an Ambulance match for the card of RAW’s next pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules. The match is rumored to have Braun Strowman facing Roman Reigns and could be a possible end to their current on-going feud. Extreme Rules is set for June 4th at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

Tuesday’s 205 Live Card

WWE revealed Tuesday’s 205 Live will have three matches and Lince Dorado to be in action. Dorado will be facing TJP while the rest of the card will be Drew Gulak versus Mustafa Ali and Rich Swann versus Noam Dar as the main event.
