Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn were apparently “very unhappy” and there was “chaos” backstage as the LaVar Ball family segment went off the rails last night on Raw, according to Dave Meltzer.
LaVar Ball’s son, LaMelo Ball, said “Beat that n***a ass” twice into a live mic after LaVar Ball took his shirt off and faced off with The Miz and WWE seemed to abruptly cut the segment short.
Check out a video of the LaMelo Ball part here:
WWE released a statement to the LA Times saying:
“The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.”
The segment seemed to be a big hit with r/nba on Reddit.
Here’s a longer video of the segment that WWE posted on their YouTube channel, with the “inappropriate language” cut out.
