Rockstar Spud requested his release from Impact Wrestling and was released 2-3 weeks ago, according to both PWInsider and Pro Wrestling Sheet. The release request was reportedly amicable and not out of any ill-will.
Rockstar Spud doesn’t appear to have publicly commented about leaving Impact on social media, but he has been posting that he is taking indie bookings.
He’s been with TNA/Impact since January 2013, winning the “TNA Wrestling: British Boot Camp” contest. Recently, he was involved in a “comedy” feud with Swoggle, where they would chase each other around the ring and pull down each other’s pants and stuff… His last match for Impact was in May, but he’s been wrestling consistently at indie shows all year.
Having a goal is exciting. Once you achieve one then you find another. Be excited to see what the next goal is. They never stop! #HolySpud
