WWE is still discussing whether or not they want Brock Lesnar to defend the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Lesnar is scheduled to be at the December 18 Raw, so that might shed some light on what WWE will decide to do.
Again, the original plan was for Finn Balor to face Lesnar, but the infamous rumor is that Vince McMahon soured on the idea because he didn’t think Balor was “over” enough.
Balor has been joking about the “over” thing on Twitter for the past week and posted a screenshot of a WWE.com poll that asked who fans would like to see face Brock Lesnar next, with Balor in the lead.
Based on having part-timer and 50 year old mayoral candidate Kane destroy Finn Balor yet again on Raw, making him look like a big jobber who would not be able to stand a chance against Brock Lesnar, it doesn’t seem like Vince McMahon has changed his mind about Balor facing Lesnar.
