Braun Strowman was originally planned to wrestle The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, but that match has now been scrapped, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The IC title match now appears to be The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins, based on the angle that WWE did on Raw, but obviously that could change.
WWE is reportedly keeping Braun Strowman open as a possible backup for the Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar WrestleMania match, in case anything happens with either Reigns or Lesnar.
The issue with Reigns is that a filmmaker is claiming that he will release new information soon regarding the Roman Reigns steroid allegations. Reigns has denied the allegations, but if there’s any substance to the new info, it could obviously be an issue.
If all goes well, Strowman could just end up facing someone like Elias or Samoa Joe at WrestleMania.
