As mentioned yesterday, Rey Mysterio suffered an injury on Saturday night at a show for Northeast Wrestling in Waterbury, Connecticut. After the match, Rey’s arm was said to be heavily swollen and Mysterio told people backstage that he believed he tore his bicep during the match.
Mysterio will be getting his arm examined today to determine the extent of the injury, according to PWInsider, so there should be an update soon.
On Saturday, Mysterio was reportedly scheduled to have a meeting with Triple H before the event, but it had to be postponed because Triple H had to fly to Saudi Arabia to help lock down a deal for WWE there. It is possible that if Triple H met with Mysterio, Mysterio could have signed a contract. Obviously, with him being possibly seriously injured, Mysterio’s WWE status is up in the air.
Mysterio was also scheduled to wrestle Jushin Liger at the NJPW “Strong Style Evolved” show in Long Beach, CA on March 25.
