Rey Mysterio suffered what may be a torn bicep at a show for Northeast Wrestling in Waterbury, Connecticut on Friday evening, Dave Meltzer is reporting.
Mysterio was tag-teaming with Flip Gordon against the team of Joey Mercury & Caleb Konley when the injury happened. Mercury was told about the injury by Rey during the match and the finish came quickly thereafter with Gordon and Rey picking up the win.
Afterwards, Rey’s arm was said to be heavily swollen and Mysterio told people backstage that he believed he tore his bicep during the match.
WWE and Rey Mysterio have been in talks about a potential return. More on this story as it becomes available.
