After announcing an Undertaker vs. Rusev Casket Match in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, then removing Rusev the next day and replacing him with Chris Jericho, Rusev is now back in the match and Jericho is out…
WWE announced that Rusev will once again be wrestling the Undertaker in a Casket Match at “Greatest Royal Rumble” in Saudi Arabia on April 27.
Interestingly, there’s no word on what Chris Jericho’s role will now be. He was originally listed as part of the 50-man royal rumble match, but he currently isn’t on the WWE.com listing for the match, though it’s possible that it just hasn’t been updated. Jericho had been promoting the match on his social media, playing up that he was undefeated in casket matches. Pretty weird to remove him, but maybe there’s something else going on…
WWE “explained” the change again with this tweet by Lana:
After much thought, I have notified @WWE officials that I have changed my mind. @RusevBUL will celebrate #RusevDay by burying The Undertaker in the sands of Saudi Arabi and will win the Casket Match at #WWEGRR ! #RusevCrush ! Have a Happy Rusev Day !
