Chris Jericho is expected to be back in New Japan Pro Wrestling this week at their “Wrestling Dontaku” show to shoot an angle that will lead to his return to the ring at next month’s NJPW Dominion show, PWInsider is reporting.
Jericho last appeared in NJPW in January, where he attacked Tetsuya Naito, which was expected to lead to a match between the two. However, nothing appeared to come of it for a while and Jericho frequently said in interviews that his time in NJPW was done and things just “didn’t work out.” Jericho has been known to “swerve” fans in the past in order to make his appearances more surprising and this could be one of those situations, or it could be that Jericho and NJPW just recently reached a new agreement.
Jericho is expected to continue his feud with Naito and may wrestle him at NJPW Dominion on June 9.
