In-Ring: Austin Aries, Eddie Edwards

Austin Aries is in the ring to address retaining his World Championship over Moose at Slammiversary. Aries talks about how the entire roster set the bar incredibly high but he still topped all of them with his performance. Aries throws out a challenge to anyone from any company who thinks they can beat him. Then, Eddie Edwards appears and attacks Aries with a kendo stick! Edwards makes his intentions clear as he stands over Aries with the world title held high.


Petey Williams vs. Taiji Ishimori

Williams hits a codebreaker in the early going. Ishimori turns the tide with a big springboard! Williams connects with a German Suplex, followed by the side Canadian legsweep. Ishimori hits a handspring kick for a near fall. Williams goes for the Canadian Destroyer but Ishimori counters into the double knees for another near fall! Ishimori connects with the modified DDT into a knee to win!

Winner: Taiji Ishimori

After the match, Ishimori and Williams are shaking hands when the Desi Hit Squad attacks them from behind! Gama Singh is calling the plays as Gursinder Singh and Rohit Raju lay them out in the middle of the ring.


Backstage: Anthony Carelli, Austin Aries

Backstage, Alicia Atout interviews former professional wrestler, Anthony Carelli. He’s speaking on how he misses being an in-ring competitor when Austin Aries interrupts. Carelli tells Aries he used to be a big fan of his, until his recent change in attitude. Aries challenges Carelli to a match but unfortunately, he’s not cleared to compete. Instead, Aries challenges one of Carelli’s top students from his wrestling school, Dustin Cameron. Cameron accepts and the match is on for next week!


Rebel vs. Tessa Blanchard

Rebel counters an early Hammerlock DDT attempt from Tessa into a rollup for a near fall! Rebel goes for the top rope splits but Tessa stops it. Tessa connects with a hanging DDT from the second rope. Tessa hits the Hammerlock DDT to pick up the victory.

Winner: Tessa Blanchard


Segment: Scarlett Bordeaux

It’s time for the highly anticipated debut of Scarlett Bordeaux! Alicia Atout interviews her on the ramp as Scarlett insists that everyone calls her “The Smoke Show”, Scarlett Bordeaux. Scarlett talks about the women’s revolution and how she wants to be the greatest women’s activist of all time. Scarlett says she will not be “hot-shamed” but she doesn’t except Alicia to understand what that means. Scarlett steals the mic from Alicia and tells her to go sit in the audience where she belongs. Scarlett says she’s here to make wrestling sexy again before telling the boys to hit her music.


Backstage: Matt Sydal

Backstage, Matt Sydal speaks on losing his X-Division championship to Brian Cage at Slammiversary. Tonight, he gets his rematch.


Backstage: Pentagon Jr

Pentagon Jr reflects on defeating Sami Callihan in a Mask vs. Hair match at Slammiversary where Callihan’s head was shaved bald!


Trevor Lee w/ Caleb Konley vs. Johnny Impact

Impact hits the ropes but Konley trips him up from the outside, allowing Lee to take control. Lee counters a springboard attempt by Impact, kicking him to the outside. Lee distracts the referee while Konley chokes Impact on the apron. Impact hits a springboard corkscrew body press. Impact goes to the top but Konley holds him up, allowing Lee to avoid a top rope move and hit the running double stomp for a near fall! Konley continues to get involved so Impact takes them both out with Countdown to Impact on the outside! Back in the ring, Impact connects with Starship Pain to win.

Winner: Johnny Impact

After the match, Impact gets on the mic and talks about how happy he is to be back in IMPACT Wrestling! Impact says his goal is to become World Champion but first, he needs to take care of Kongo Kong and Jimmy Jacobs after they tried to end his career just a few months ago!


Backstage: Allie, Kiera Hogan

Backstage, Alicia Atout interviews Allie and asks her what’s next after losing to Tessa Blanchard at Slammiversary. Allie is able to accept her defeat to Tessa because she’s one of the most talented wrestlers in the world. However, Allie says she cannot accept the fact that she was not there for Madison Rayne at Slammiversary. After Madison’s loss to Su Yung, she was stuffed in a casket by the champion and her Undead Bridesmaids. Allie says she’s not going to allow her to do that to anyone else, even if she has to stop her on her own. Kiera Hogan approaches Allie and offers her assistance – they’re going after Su Yung!


Backstage: Eli Drake, Grado, Joe Hendry, Katarina

Grado, Katarina and Joe Hendry are backstage. Grado is thrilled as Joe Hendry gifts him one of his T-shirts. Eli Drake interrupts and offers the trio a gift of his own – it’s a photo of Hendry and Katarina! Hendry reassures Grado that Drake is playing some sort of sick joke and there’s no truth to their relationship.


Backstage: KM, Fallah Baah

After their loss to Desi Hit Squad last week, KM tells Fallah Bahh they need to find his mean streak. KM begins to teach Fallah a few lessons as they prepare for another match next week.


Backstage: Killer Kross

Killer Kross reveals that his goal in IMPACT Wrestling is to hurt as many people as possible!


Segment: The OGz

The OGz are in possession of LAX’s tag team championships despite losing to them in a 5150 Street Fight at Slammiversary. King says he expected LAX to know that even though they won the battle, they haven’t won the war. LAX celebrated too early after they won at Slammiversary, allowing the OGz to attack them from behind and steal the tag team titles.


Segment: oVe, Sami Callihan

Jake and Dave Crist are trying to convince Sami Callihan that he looks fine after having his head shaved by Pentagon Jr at Slammiversary. Callihan is furious and doesn’t believe them. A pedestrian comes into the bathroom and Callihan instructs oVe to shave his head!


X-Division Championship Match
Brian Cage (c) vs. Matt Sydal

Sydal attempts the running knees from the apron but Cage catches him and throws him spine-first into the steel post! Sydal successfully hits the double knees off the top rope, to the ramp! Cage’s head hits hard on the steel ramp in the process. Cage connects with a big Hurricanrana, followed by a pump-handle Samoan drop. Sydal hits a top rope splash to the back of Cage. Cage hits the 619 for a near fall! Sydal counters the Drill Claw into a snap Hurricanrana for a near fall of his own! Cage connects with the Mutant Clothesline, followed by the Drill Claw to retain the X-Division Championship!

Winner: Brian Cage


Next week, Austin Aries defends the World Championship against one of Anthony Carelli’s top students, Dustin Cameron, plus the fallout from Slammiversary continues!
