James Ellsworth’s WWE Status

James Ellsworth is not currently signed to a WWE contract, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. When he returned this past time, he wasn’t offered a new contract and has apparently been working on a per-date basis.

Ellsworth is also reportedly booked for some future indie dates and is still advertising that he’s taking bookings on his Twitter page, which has lead to speculation that Asuka attacking him at Extreme Rules last night could have possibly written him off TV. Hopefully not…
