Recap: Aleister Black Attacked

Last week, we saw William Regal make the NXT Men’s Championship Match a Triple Threat Match. Then we see footage of William Regal being told about an incident outside. We see The Undisputed Era leaving as William Regal checks on Aleister Black who is unconscious. William Regal asks for help.

We are told that now the NXT Men’s Championship Match will be a Last Man Standing Match between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.


Street Profits vs. The Mighty

Ford and Miller start things off. Miller with a knee to the midsection followed by a forearm to the back. Miller with a chop and then he sends Ford into his corner. Thorne tags in and Miller with a chop and Thorne with kicks. Thorne with a head butt and he tries for a slam but Ford escapes. Dawkins with a blind tag and a shoulder tackle. Dawkins and Ford with a Black Mantis Splash. Ford with a leap frog splash to the lower back. Miller and Thorne go to the floor.

Dawkins punches Thorne and the referee warns Thorne. Thorne with a knee and chop. Dawkins with an Irish whip but he misses the spinning Stinger Splash. Thorne with a Northern Lariat and Miller tags in. Miller with a double sledge to the back and then Miller with forearms to Dawkins. Miller gets a near fall. Miller fish hooks Dawkins and then he kicks Dawkins. Miller chokes Dawkins in the ropes and then Thorne chokes Dawkins in the ropes when Miller distracts the referee.

Thorne tags in and they hit a double belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Thorne with kicks to the head. Miller tags in and he connects with a forearm to the back. Miller with a rear chin lock on Dawkins. Dawkins with elbows to escape the hold and then he kicks MIller but Miller with a spinebuster for a near fall. Dawkins is sent into the turnbuckles. Thorne tags in and Miller with a clothesline and Thorne with a running European uppercut. Thorne with a front face lock. Thorne misses an elbow in the corner and Dawkins tries to make the tag. Thorne is kicked into Miller and Thorne misses an elbow drop.

Ford tags in and he hits a series of forearms followed by clotheslines. Ford is sent to the apron and Thorne misses a clothesline. Ford with an elbow to Thorne and a kick to Miller on the floor. Thorne gets a rollup for a near fall but Ford rolls through and has a handful of tights for the three count.

Winners: Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins


Backstage: Undisputed Era

We go to the Undisputed Era and they talk about having to face Mustache Mountain in Brooklyn. Roderick reminds Kyle that he almost ripped off Trent Seven’s knee. Kyle says Trent is lying by saying he is 100 percent. If he is 100 percent, that means they are 500 percent. Strong talks about Mustache Mountain attacking them and the challenge from War Raiders.

Bobby Fish says that using clever to describe War Raiders and Mustache Mountain is the first time for them. The titles will stay with Undisputed Era. Cole says last year the Undisputed Era started and it continues to dominate. Cole says he showed Ricochet he is not hiding behind anything. Neither are Roderick Strong or Kyle O’Reilly.


Kairi Sane vs. Aliyah

Before the match starts, Shayna Baszler’s music plays and she makes her way to the stage to watch the match and she joins the announce team.

They lock up and Sane backs Aliyah into the corner. Sane with a clean break. Aliyah pushes Sane and Sane pushes back. Sane chops Aliyah and Aliyah retreats into the ropes. Sane looks at Baszler and the distraction allows Aliyah to connect with a forearm. Sane with a head scissors into a rollup and Stretch Muffler. Aliyah tries to get to the ropes and she gets there before having to tap out.

Aliyah kicks Sane and connects with forearms. Sane blocks a kick and takes ALiyah down. Sane with a running neck breaker and hits a second one. Aliyah with an Irish whip but Sane comes out of the corner with a spear. Sane marches to the corner for the Sliding D. Sane goes up top for the elbow drop but she does not cover Baszler. She looks at Shayna before going up again for a second elbow drop and Sane is not ready to end the match. Sane with a third elbow drop and she pulls Aliyah up at two.

Sane with the Anchor and Sane bridges and points at Baszler as Aliyah taps out.

Winner: Kairi Sane

After the match, Sane gets on the turnbuckles and stares down Baszler at the announce table.


Video Package: Ricochet and Adam Cole’s Feud

We have a video package for the North American Title Match between Adam Cole and Ricochet. Cole mentions that he won War Games and became the first North American Champion. Ricochet says he is a guy who can do thinks that not many can do. There is only one Ricochet and he makes it look good. Ricochet says he had his hands on that title belt in New Orleans. Cole says there are three types of superstars. There are good, great, and special. Ricochet is good, he can be great, but he is not special. Ricochet says that Cole is hiding behind the title.

Cole says the North American championship is special because of who is holding it. Ricochet says that we need a champion who will make the title the most important in NXT. Ricochet says it will hurt more when Cole’s name is removed from that title and replaced with Ricochet.


In-Ring: Velveteen Dream, EC3

Velveteen Dream makes his way to the ring.

Dream says it is funny that you cheer for The Dream. You know who else is funny. EC3 is funny. EC3 is so smart. EC3 is so clever. EC3 is oh so charming. Just like all of you, EC3 had The Dream’s curiosity. Now he has something that the Dream says you do not want. EC3 has the Dream’s attention. You have made an enemy of the Dream. At Takeover, it will be Dream Over.

EC3 makes his way to the stage. EC3 asks if this is what it sounds like when doves cry? EC3 tells Dream he has a sick fanny pack. EC3 says he knows what Dream is trying to do and he tells him not to get into his sick and twisted heads. He has built so much in people’s heads and he says that Dream’s is a fixer upper. The time to talk has ceased and the time to fight has become. He will claim victory after victory after victory.

Dream says there is no ‘After victory’. This Saturday in Brooklyn, you won’t have your hand raised. You won’t be laughing at the Dream. The only thing on your mind will be Dream Over.

EC3 takes off his jacket and shirt and says they don’t have to wait until Brooklyn. They can do this right now.

Dream tosses his shirt at EC3 and punches EC3. Dream gets EC3 on his shoulders but EC3 escapes and he punches Dream. EC3 gets Dream up and hits the One Percenter.


Segment: Who Attacked Aleister Black?

We take a look at who may have attacked Aleister Black. Cathy Kelley shows the footage. We see Johnny Gargano entering the building as Regal left the building. We then see all four members of Undisputed Era driving away. We saw Lars Sullivan, Tucker Knight, Otis Dozovic, Kassius Ohno, Candice LeRae, Wesley Blake, Steve Cutler, Velveteen Dream, Shayna Baszler, Ricochet, and the rest of the roster outside.


Video Package: Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano’s Feud

We are back with a look at the NXT Men’s Title Match. Johnny says his dream since day one was to be the NXT Champion. We see Tommaso Ciampa with the title belt and he smiles. Tommaso says that hope is lost for Johnny. We see footage from their previous matches. Gargano says he felt anger and hatred and suffering in Chicago. That is why CIampa won. Ciampa says after beating Johnny Wrestling with his hands tied together, he knew he would be the number one contender. Gargano says he couldn’t let Ciampa win. Ciampa says he replaced Johnny.

Ciampa says you never thought it would end like this. CIampa says he won. Gargano says he has not given everything yet. Ciampa says this is not Gargano’s fairy tale. It is about Ciampa. Gargano says he has one more shot and he will be the champion and he will be Johnny Wrestling again. He will stop Ciampa. He will do whatever it takes to make sure that Ciampa does not leave Brooklyn as champion.

Tyler Bate (with Trent Seven) vs. Roderick Strong (with Kyle O’Reilly)

Bate with a running boot and then he punches Strong but Strong with a kick and chop. Bate with a back body drop and punch to Strong. Bate with a European uppercut or two. Bate with another European uppercut in the corner. Bate with a knee lift in the corner. Kyle gets on the apron and Bate kicks Kyle. Strong with a back breaker as he takes Bate off the turnbuckles. Strong with kicks to Bate.

Strong with a boot to the head and then he connects with a forearm and kicks in the corner. Strong with another chop. Bate with punches to Strong but Strong with a drop toe hold and forearms to the back. Strong with a rear chin lock. Strong with a uranage back breaker for a near fall. Strong with a seated abdominal stretch. Bate gets to his feet and he head butts Strong a few times and follows with a jaw breaker. Bate with a kick and Strong with chops. Strong puts Bate on the turnbuckles for a superplex. Bate pushes Strong off and Strong with a punch.

Strong goes up top again and Bate drops Strong face first to the mat. Bate with a corkscrew back elbow off the turnbuckles and both men are down. Strong and Bate exchange punches. Bate with an uppercut and clothesline. Bate with punches to the head and Strong is down in the corner. Bate with an Irish whip and running European uppercut followed by an exploder. Strong with a shooting star press for a near fall. Bate cannot get Strong on his shoulders but Bate with a rana and Saito suplex and he gets a near fall.

Bate sets for the Tyler Driver 97 but Strong with a back drop and Bate lands on his feet. Bate with a punch and Strong blocks the rolling kick. Strong goes for the Strong Hold but Bate rolls through and gets a near fall. Strong with forearms and a back elbow. Strong with a knee and a gourdbuster slam for a near fall. Strong with a uranage back breaker but Bate escapes End of Heartache. Bate with a crucifix for a near fall. Bate with a rebound clothesline. Strong goes to the floor and Bate sets for a plancha and he hits it.

Bate sends Strong back into the ring and Bate follows. Bate sets for the Tyler Driver 97 but Kyle gets on the apron. Trent tags care of Kyle. Strong kicks Seven and then hits an enzuigiri on Bate. Bate with a forearm and a rolling kick. Bate with Tyler Driver 97 for the three count.
