Here are a few Crown Jewel news and rumors that have been going around today…
John Cena and Daniel Bryan
As mentioned, there are reports that John Cena and Daniel Bryan have pulled out of Crown Jewel. There has been no update on their status as of now and WWE is still currently advertising them for the show.
If Cena is going to be replaced, it’s probably going to happen tonight (or tomorrow). Names that have been thrown around as possible replacements are Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre, who are not currently scheduled for anything on the card.
If Daniel Bryan has in fact pulled out, WWE will probably have to do an angle on SmackDown tomorrow or on the day of the show to explain why the match is off.
Drew McIntyre
There has been a pitch over the last week to add Drew McIntyre to the Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar match, according to PWInsider.
Whether or not that actually happens is another story, obviously, so we’ll see what happens on Raw tonight.
McIntyre is currently not scheduled for anything on the show.
Flying to Saudi Arabia
WWE wrestlers are scheduled to fly to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, PWInsider says.
Other WWE staff started flying over this past Thursday.
