Samoa Joe is dealing with another injury, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
There aren’t any details about the type of injury or how much time he might miss right now. WWE hasn’t said anything about him missing an extended period of time, so it might not be too serious.
Joe’s last match was on the October 9 SmackDown, where he wrestled Jeff Hardy in a World Cup qualifying match. During that match, WWE did an injury angle where Joe tried to kick Hardy on the outside, but Hardy moved and Joe’s left leg kicked the ring steps instead. He then couldn’t stand and the referee stopped the match and the announcers were selling Joe’s left leg “injury.” This was apparently a way for them to write him off of TV because of a legit injury.
Joe has not wrestled at any scheduled WWE house shows since October 9. He was advertised for matches against AJ Styles at shows this weekend, but he wasn’t there and they were changed to Styles vs. Bryan vs. Nakamura.
Joe suffered a knee injury in August of 2017, which kept him out until the end of October. He then suffered a foot injury in January, which kept him out until after WrestleMania.
