WWE is reported to be working on several new expansion plans for the NXT brand, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
One plan involves more international expansion for the brand. This would include more international based Performance Centers and more international territories running under the NXT brand similar to NXT UK.
This also would mean WWE becoming more aggressive with talent signings in order to fill out these new NXT territories.
It was also reported that there are those within WWE who are currently pushing the idea of expanding NXT’s weekly television show from its current one hour format into a two hour show. Their reasoning is that WWE currently has too much talent in NXT and not enough time to feature them all in prominent roles. Some within WWE are also reported to be considering the idea of expanding the length of NXT’s TakeOver events to as much as an extra hour.
