The Miz Not Injured
The Miz was not actually injured at Crown Jewel. WWE did an angle where he “blew out his knee” in the World Cup final match against Dolph Ziggler and was unable to wrestle.
The reason for the injury angle was an excuse to get Shane McMahon in there. Shane was reportedly booked to win the tournament the entire time.
Vince McMahon
Vince McMahon was backstage at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, overseeing the show, according to PWInsider.
Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose was also backstage at the show, despite not appearing on it. He did interviews with Saudi media before the show and was also traveling with Renee Young, who he’s married to.
WWE Crew Travel
The WWE crew flew out of Saudi Arabia on the same day, with some traveling to Spain and some traveling to Wales.
WWE has live shows in Madrid, Spain and Cardiff, Wales tonight.
