A recent episode of the 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff podcast show had Bischoff discuss a variety of wrestling related topics during the post-show. One of the topics included his thoughts on the rumors of the development of a new wrestling company called All Elite Wrestling.
On the topic of if he has had any involvement with AEW’s development, Bischoff stated he has not nor does he believe he will be contacted for any possible help in running the rumored promotion.
“Hopefully I’ll get an invitation to come and watch a show. But no, I haven’t had a conversation with The Bucks or anyone associated with them. So, I put that on a very, very low probability meter.”
On the topic of the importance of All In, Bischoff praised Cody and The Young Bucks for creating a big change in the wrestling industry.
“What’s really cool about it is they did it without television. That is what’s mind boggling. From a guy who’s grown up in the wrestling business who couldn’t imagine being involved in the wrestling industry without a solid TV platform underneath you, these guys go out with their own money and prove everybody wrong.”
On the topic of important advice for AEW’s chances for early success, Bischoff stated the most important advice for Cody and The Young Bucks are to take things slowly and be surrounded with people they trust the most to help run the company.
“They’re in a zone right now. It doesn’t come easily, it doesn’t come often but they’re there. Be smart, go slow, don’t let it go to your head, trust me. Go slow and always surround yourself with people you absolutely trust.”
