John Cena is “returning to Raw and SmackDown.” Vince McMahon made the announcement as a “gift” to fans while dressed as Santa Claus, saying, “The greatest of all time, John Cena is back. He’s back on Raw, he’s back on SmackDown.”
WWE’s Twitter then said that he’s returning to both Raw and SmackDown next week.

Cena is scheduled for several shows for the next three or so weeks before he’s off to start shooting another movie. Cena said in an interview a couple of weeks ago that none of his appearances would be televised, but it seems like plans have changed.

Next week’s Raw will be taped this Friday, 12/28 in Detroit and SmackDown will be taped on Saturday, 12/29 in Pittsburgh. His schedule says that he’s booked for the SmackDown, but on December 28, he’s currently booked for a SmackDown house show in Baltimore and not for Raw. So I guess it remains to be seen if he’ll be at Raw next week, but WWE’s Twitter account says so.
1/7 and 1/14 are live Raws and Cena is booked for those.
