WWE Files New Trademarks and Opposing Other Wrestling Trademarks
WWE recently filed two new trademarks and official opposition to other wrestling-based trademarks to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, according to PWInsider.
A trademark for “Fashion Files: Cold Case Unit” and “WWE Kitchen Smackdown” were filed on December 19th for entertainment-related purposes. These trademarks cover two of the four new original shows debuting this week on the WWE Network.
WWE also recently filed official opposition to the trademarks of “Halloween Havoc” and “Sister Abigail.” In regards to the Halloween Havoc trademark, WWE’s ownership of the original WCW trademark was reported to have been abandoned on October 22, 2005 and the company currently does not own any active trademarks related to it. A Las Vegas-based company called KBN INC. filed a trademark for the term on June 8th of this year, along with a logo design similar to the logo of the former WCW event.

Major League Wrestling recently filed a new trademark to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, according to PWInsider.
A trademark for “The Hart Foundation” was filed on December 19th for both merchandise and wrestling-related purposes.
