Rhyno was “fired” from Raw after losing a match against his former tag team partner Heath Slater where the stipulation was that the loser would be fired from Raw.
During a backstage segment on Raw, Baron Corbin said that cuts needed to be made to the roster and asked one of them to quit. When they each refused, Corbin booked the match between them and Heath Slater won in under a minute with a neckbreaker, reluctantly causing a shocked Rhyno to be “fired.”
Afterwards backstage, the despicable Baron Corbin told Slater that he wasn’t keeping him on as an active roster member, but as a referee.
