Akam of the Authors of Pain has an unspecified leg injury and he’s expected to be out for “a couple of months,” according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
That’s one of the reasons why AOP has been missing for the past couple of weeks.
They last appeared on WWE TV on the December 17 Raw. They had been wrestling at house shows after that, but their last one was on January 6 against Gable and Roode, according to Cagematch.
Update: Dave Meltzer added today that Akam underwent knee surgery last week and will be out for about two months.
