Chris Jericho’s contract with NJPW expired after his match at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on Friday, where he dropped the IWGP Intercontinental Championship to Tetsuya Naito.
Jericho does want to stay in NJPW, though, according to Dave Meltzer, and it’s “just a question of getting a new deal done.”
After Wrestle Kingdom, Jericho challenged Hiroshi Tanahashi and both guys would like to do that match this year, if possible.
