WWE is currently expected to sign KUSHIDA and several women indie wrestlers to contracts within the near future, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
KUSHIDA is expected to sign with WWE for their NXT brand and possibly 205 Live once his current contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling expires at the end of this month.
Meltzer also reported that Scottish wrestlers Viper (Piper Niven) and Kay Lee Ray, who both wrestled in the Mae Young Classic, are both expected to sign contracts with the company once their current deals with World of Sport expire. All Elite Wrestling was reported to also have been interested in Viper and had recently made an offer for a potential deal.
Another wrestler reportedly offered a contract by WWE was Bea Priestley, who is currently contracted to World of Sport and Stardom. At the moment, Priestley’s future was reported to be undecided and she is considering the idea of moving with her boyfriend Will Ospreay to Japan in order to work there full-time.
