WWE commissioned a new version of the classic 1991 Royal Rumble poster, using wrestlers from this year’s Royal Rumble match.

Created by famed comic and fantasy artist Joe Jusko, the promo depicted Superstars like Hulk Hogan, “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Big Boss Man looking like a beefed-up version of a street gang from the ’70s cult classic “The Warriors.” The image left an indelible mark on a generation of WWE fans, including half of our staff, so we commissioned artist Steven Chorney, creator of memorable posters for Hollywood blockbusters like “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”, “Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade” and “Deadpool,” to reimagine the scene for today’s roster.
