Vince McMahon “Suspends” Becky Lynch, Replaces Her With Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania

On Raw tonight, Vince McMahon “suspended” Becky Lynch for 60 days and replaced her with Charlotte Flair in her match against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania.

Vince McMahon came out at the end of the show to confront Becky, then said that she has a “bad attitude.”

Vince: “That [Ronda vs. Becky] could be one of the greatest main events of all time. It could be. But Becky, I think you think you’re bigger than WWE. You’ve got an attitude. You’ve got a bad attitude. I don’t like bad attitudes. That goes for you too, Ronda. So you’re not the man. I’m the man! Sometimes the man has to make tough decisions, OK, so here’s one of them. Becky, you’re suspended for 60 days. I’m not gonna accept your apology. They may, but I’m not. Which means, let’s see, that suspension runs out five days after this WrestleMania. And we need someone to take your place. Someone with charisma, someone with charm, someone who knows their lane and they stay in it. We need someone who’s gonna take Ronda to the limit. We need Charlotte Flair!”

Charlotte then came out with a big smile and Vince raised her arm and said that at WrestleMania, we’re going to be hearing, “your new Raw Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair” as both Becky Lynch and Rousey stood in the ring, angry and shocked.

It was reported last week that a WrestleMania triple threat match between Rousey, Lynch and Flair is “pretty much a lock” and that appears to be the direction that things are heading.
