Kurt Angle Comments on His Upcoming Retirement Match at WrestleMania

Kurt Angle recently reflected on Instagram about his final wrestling match in his hometown and his upcoming retirement match at next month’s WrestleMania 35 event.

I want to thank my hometown, Pittsburgh, for the incredible reception I received on Raw last night. I couldn’t think of a better place to announce my retirement. Thanks to @apollowwe for stepping in the ring with me for my final match in Pittsburgh. It’s on to Wrestlemania, and regardless who my opponent is, I feel like I’ve already won my farewell match, because I know that every WWE fan will be cheering for me. I’m very grateful for the amazing career I’ve had, but it’s time for me to step down and move on. Wrestlemania will be a very emotional night for me, but I will enjoy every second of it. Thank you WWE Universe. #itstrue

Pro Wrestling Revolver announced that both TJ Perkins and Rich Swann will be appearing for the company at their May 10th 3 Year Anniversary event in Des Moines, Iowa.

Lane Storm announced that he will be working for Impact Wrestling as an agent at their March 22nd and March 23rd Impact! tapings in Windsor, Ontario. The announcement was made during a recent episode of the Figure Four Daily podcast show.

David Finlay announced that the shoulder injury he suffered during ROH’s Honor Rising event in Japan on February 23rd was recently diagnosed to be a torn labrum. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that Finlay is currently expected to be out of action for at least six months following his upcoming surgery.
