A report today from The Wrap says that a TV deal between All Elite Wrestling and TNT is “virtually done” and will be announced next Wednesday.
The Wrap says that the announcement will be made on the day of Warner Media’s (parent company of TNT) “upfront” this Wednesday, May 15, which is when TV networks debut new fall shows to advertisers. The event will take place at Madison Square Garden in NYC and is scheduled to begin at 10 AM ET. AEW president Tony Khan and AEW wrestlers will be in attendance at MSG to make the announcement, The Wrap says.
A weekly AEW show is expected to debut this fall. It was previously reported that the show would be live, two hours and would debut in October, possibly the same week that SmackDown moves to FOX (on October 4).
