Various: Daniel Bryan Health Update, TV Industry Views Wrestling as Cold Market, Indies

Daniel Bryan Health Status Update

As noted before, Daniel Bryan had been out of action for WWE since last month’s WrestleMania 35 due to suffering an undisclosed injury. Bryan was medically cleared by WWE doctors last week and made his in-ring return at last night’s episode of RAW.

In an update to Bryan’s health status, Dave Meltzer reported that Bryan’s mysterious injury is rumored to have likely been concussion related. Meltzer also reported that this is the current assumption within WWE due to Bryan’s past history with concussions and WWE officials keeping the exact nature of his injury closely under wraps.

TV Industry Reportedly Views Wrestling as a Cold Market for Television

Due to WWE’s rapidly declining viewership, the current feeling within the television industry is that wrestling is a “cold” market and is now less valuable than before for television networks, according to Dave Meltzer.

Raw’s ratings could possibly affect the industry as a whole, including AEW, which has not officially finalized their TV deal yet.
