Rey Mysterio Comments on the 30th Anniversary of His Wrestling Career

Rey Mysterio reflected on Twitter about yesterday being the 30th anniversary of his wrestling career, which started in Mexico.

WWE held a recent interview with Mysterio discussing his thoughts on reaching a special milestone in his career this week.


WWE Hires Two New Writers for Their Creative Team

WWE reportedly recently hired two new writers to join the company’s creative team, according to PWInsider.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Michael James Nelson and Andrea Kail were hired by the company last month as part of several behind-the-scenes changes made internally. Nelson previously worked as a writer for NBC’s Betty White’s Off Their Rockers television series and for MTV’s Movie & TV Awards events. Kail previously worked for TruTv as a writer for their Comedy Knockouts game show series.

Besides hiring new writers, Johnson also reported that WWE recently hired Jules Rice and Stefanie Stephens as their new live events managers. Rice reportedly will be overseeing WWE’s live events for the Mid-West region and Stephens will be overseeing live events for the Southeastern region.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

The National Wrestling Alliance reportedly sold between 1,100 to 1,200 tickets and had a total attendance of 1,400 for last weekend’s Crockett Cup 2019 event, according to PWInsider.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that NJPW recently promoted Lance Archer to a new position within the company. Archer will now be responsible for helping push ticket sales for the company’s events in the United States.

Former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia announced that she has recently joined mixed martial arts company Professional Fighters League as their new cage announcer.
