WWE: Bayley Becomes Women’s “Grand Slam” Champ, Lana Complains, WWE Meeting

After winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank, Bayley has now won every currently active WWE women’s championship – Raw, SmackDown, NXT and the Tag Team Championship. No other woman has done that.

Lana claimed that tonight “might be the 10th time” in the past year that she has pitched an idea to WWE only to have it given to someone else. She didn’t specify who she was talking about tonight.

I love watching shows and seeing stories I wrote and pitched given to other people. This might be the 10th time this has happened in the past year…. good to know I’m really creative that my ideas are given to others.

WWE Meeting

There was a WWE meeting with talent before Money in the Bank, headed by Stephanie McMahon. The speech was described as “mostly the same rah-rah type speech they do from time to time,” according to Dave Meltzer, with one notable difference that they mentioned AEW. Meltzer says that when giving this type of speech to talent in the past, “at no time have they ever mentioned a competing wrestling company.”

The context, according to PWInsider, was that AEW was mentioned as a company that wrestlers might consider their competition, but they also should consider lots of other things their competition, including TV shows, movies, music, video games, etc.
