The National Wrestling Alliance and Ring of Honor have recently ended their partnership, according to PWInsider.
Both companies felt that it was time to go their separate ways and the split was done on amicable terms, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported. The current feeling within both companies is that the door is open for a potential new partnership in the future.
ROH pulled NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis from the card of their upcoming Summer Supercard event and NWA Vice President Dave Lagana will no longer be working on ROH’s production team.
It was also reported that NWA President Billy Corgan currently has plans to work on a new weekly NWA series following the end of next month’s Smashing Pumpkins tour. The idea is that if they aren’t able to get a TV deal, it would be streamed on the internet.
