Goldberg was paid “well into the seven figures” for his match against The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia in June, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The amount for the one match was “considerably more” than he was paid for his entire one year contract in WWE back in 2003-2004, when he was paid a $1 million downside to work eight dates per month.
It was less than his WCW deal, though, when he was paid $3 million per year at his peak.
Goldberg’s match against Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam also may not be the last we see of him in a WWE ring, the Observer says. WWE is hopeful that he may return to wrestle once or twice a year in the future.
