Here’s the currently apparent and rumored card for WWE’s next PPV, Clash of Champions, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The PPV will take place on September 15 in Charlotte, NC.
Universal Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Braun Strowman
WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Randy Orton
Raw Women’s Champion: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sasha Banks
King of the Ring Tournament Finals
Here are a few other possibilities, according to the Observer:
Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan – This may or may not happen at Clash of Champions, but it appears to be the direction things are headed eventually.
SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) vs. The Revival – This match was pitched to Vince McMahon, but he hasn’t approved it for the card yet, the Observer says.
Intercontinental Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Ali – It looked like this was a direction WWE was headed leading into SummerSlam, so we may see it here instead.
Generally, all titles are defended at Clash of Champions. That leaves the SmackDown Women’s Championship (Bayley), United States Championship (AJ Styles), Raw Tag Team Championship (Anderson & Gallows) and Cruiserweight Championship (Drew Gulak).
