Luke Harper made his return to WWE tonight at Clash of Champions, interfering in the Roman Reigns vs. Rowan match and helping his former partner Rowan get the win.
Late in the match, Reigns ran down the entrance ramp towards the ring for a spear on Rowan, but Luke Harper came in out of nowhere and hit Reigns with a big boot. Harper and Rowan then double teamed Reigns in the ring until Rowan hit the Iron Claw for the win. After the match, the former teammates embraced in the ring.

Harper had not been on WWE TV or PPV since August 2018, when Rowan went down with a torn bicep. In April 2019, he requested his release, but WWE refused to release him and instead added an additional six months to his contract length due to time he missed from wrist surgery in 2018. His contract reportedly originally was set to expire in November 2019, so if that’s accurate, it would mean that his contract is now up around May 2020.
