Several high ranking WWE officials reportedly currently hold a very favorable view of Ali, according to Fightful.
Sean Ross Sapp reported that Eric Bischoff, Vince McMahon, and Kevin Dunn were among those in upper management who hold very positive views of Ali following his recent King of the Ring match against Elias. Sapp also reported that Bischoff has been in favor of Ali getting a big push as a reward although previous plans by WWE to push Ali in a meaningful way ended up being unfulfilled.
It was reported that another WWE official felt the Ali vs. Elias King of the Ring match was the best match of Elias’ career in the company due to the in-ring effort from both guys.
Within SmackDown’s locker room, many of the talent who have worked with Ali also reportedly hold a very positive impression of him and his in-ring work.
