Here are the viewer numbers in the UK for last week’s shows, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
AEW Dynamite:
– Friday, October 4 at 11:20 PM on ITV4: 81,000 viewers
– Sunday, October 6 at 8:20 AM on ITV4: 36,000 viewers
– Monday, October 7 at 11:45 PM on ITV (1 hour highlight show): 279,000 viewers
– (Dynamite was also available to stream live in the UK on FITE.tv and on Thursday on ITV’s website)
Raw:
– Tuesday, October 8 at 1 AM (live) on Sky Sports: 49,000 viewers
SmackDown:
– Saturday, October 5 at 1 AM (live) on Sky Sports: 71,000 viewers (for the big show on FOX in the US)
Impact:
– Friday, October 4 at 11 PM on 5Star: 57,000 viewers
Some takeaways from these numbers:
- AEW Dynamite was the most-watched wrestling show in the UK by far last week.
- Impact was more watched than Raw and was only barely beaten by a huge SmackDown show. Raw and SmackDown do air at worse time slots (1 AM), but that’s because they’re live.
- Raw and SmackDown will get far fewer viewers in the UK starting January 2020 when they move to BT Sport, which is available in far fewer homes than Sky Sports.
