One of the glaring differences in the “Wednesday night wars” is that AEW runs far larger arenas than NXT, making NXT look “minor league” by comparison to the casual viewer.
People in WWE are aware of this and they’ve started talking to other arenas to broadcast NXT starting in January, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
It’s expected that NXT will continue to use their current home of Full Sail sometimes, but not every week.
WWE chose to air NXT weekly from Full Sail at the start because the live show was somewhat of a late move to compete with AEW, and they didn’t have time to book arenas, according to the Observer.
